MDGs Polewali Mandar.– Angka kematian anak dan angka kematian bayi untuk tingkat Kecamatan tidak tepat jika diperoleh dari survey yang berskala nasional. Hal ini karena rancangan sampel diperuntukkan untuk menggambarkan angka kematian anak dan bayi tingkat Kabupaten dan atau tingkat propinsi
Sehubungan dengan hal tersebut, maka untuk menggambarkan angka kematian anak dan angka kematian bayi digambarkan dengan indikator program yang dilaksanakan dalam upaya menurunkan angka kematian balita dan angka kematian bayi, antara lain persentase BBLR, cakupan kunjungan bayi, persentase pemberian vitamin A, cakupan pemberian ASI eklusif, pemantauan pertumbuhan menggunakan data SKDN.
S adalah Seluruh balita yang ada di wilayah kerja
K adalah jumlah balita yang terdaftar dan memiliki KMS atau buku KIA
D adalah jumlah seluruh balita yang Ditimbang
N adalah balita yang Naik berat badannya sesuai dengan garis pertumbuhan
